Well guys.. the day we didn't want to come has come.. Metabans is shutting down. We can't find a provider to host us with our budget.. When I did find someone that would host us no matter the attacks they want $300.00 a month.. It's hard to get $200 when we needed it. So it would actually be hard as hell to run Metabans as Phogue said..

The biggest problem is they charge money for their products and people pay for it. They have bank and plenty enough to fund a response.


With endless funds and nothing but profit they have money to waste on shutting us down.

Maybe one day soon we can see about getting it started back up but for now the project was fun! I want to thank everyone for the support and help and thank you everyone who donated to keep the project going.

The ideal solution would be to fund Pbbans.com and help them! They have been around for 9 years for a reason..

The last attack cost us big.. because metabanas was not removed they charged us for abusing the network (after they told us to leave) we got charged over $400 in what they call a fine.. the bad thing was paypal could not cover the cost so my bank did.. bad idea to link paypal and a bank account.

I know many of you donated to the project and it helped all it could but when we are getting 6gbit/s attacks the cost of protection for that is around $3500 a month...

Phogue, MorpheusX(AUT), leibhold, Ike have been posting ideas to run metabans another way and they have some good ideas. But until we can find a way to run without an issue we have no choice.. I would love to continue running metabans.
